He said: Served chilled. Medium to dark oat straw color. Ripe apple and slight floral aromas. Over ripe apple with hints of peach in the taste; a tart (very slightly bitter), dry, creamy finish. Not your everyday Italian white wine. I especially liked the finish for its limey mineral notes. This is not nearly as good a Vernaccia as the Montenidoli Carato Vernaccia Di San Gimignano that we have had a couple of times in the past; however, it’s OK and has a very low price…so it gets a recommended rating from me.
