He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, very pale wheat straw color. Lime, lemon, mushroom cave, wet wood and hints of apricot aromas. Very fresh, light and silky smooth mouth-feel; slightly tart citrus flavors, crisp acidity, lots of mineral and a long almost bitter finish that ends with a ripe melon flavor. WOW, VERY refreshing and easy drinking and a perfect salad paring. The smooth mouth-feel, vibrant acidity and mix of flavors really set this apart from other chilled white wines. Two thumbs up from me. An OUTSTANDING Vermentino.
Tables Creek is one of our favorite California vineyards that we visit each year when we’re in Southern California. The tasting is always fun, we frequently buy a bottle and have a picnic lunch on their patio and their wines can only be described as “OUTSTANDING”. She said: Clear, light lemon yellow color. Ray chose this to go with the salad and it was a great choice because the pairing went further by complimenting the wine although the wine was a real treat sipping alone. With an enticing aroma the wine offered flavors of mineral overlain by citrus. The mouth-feel was smooth, the body medium and the finished long and full of flavor ending with a touch of tartness. The wine was a treat from start to finish and a good value at $22.
