He said: Light straw color. Very very light melon bouquet. Dry citrus taste that continues into an earthy finish that ended with some bitterness. Quite good with lamb, delicious “salads” and Laffa bread
She said: Medium furity/melon (with a hint of acid) bouquet. Light fruity flavor, dry to sligjtly bitter, slight astringent finish. Delicious with this meal. Local stores sell the current vintage for about $16.00
Comments: The Itzik Hagdol Grill was a very interesting middle-eastern restaurant. The decor was exactly what I would have expected if we were eating at the original carbon copy restaurant in Tel Aviv, Israel. Service was very good (Christina, our waitress, was very helpful to first time customers and attentive throughout the meal). The food was outstanding and very middle eastern. Not inexpensive, but well worth the price for an extremely fun lunch experience. The Itzik Hagadol Grill is located at 17201 Ventura Blvd., Encino, California and we give it a 4-star rating.
