He said: Chilled before opening. Clear, light wheat straw color. Light tropical fruit aromas. SMOOTH, fresh apple and tropical fruit taste with hints of citrus and a CRISP finish that lingers with fruity flavors and lots of wonderful mineral . Absolutely fantastic sipping alone and good with the grilled chicken. A real treat from the “New World” Australia and New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc we have been drinking. It was a VERY NICE Pouilly Fume.
She said: Clear, evenly spaced thin legs with a variable speed. Very fragrant and with lots of mellow flavors, this wine was delicious. It was smooth, medium bodied and had a long tasty finish. It seemed good with the chicken but really shone when the dinner was done and we were drinking it without food. The oregano (on the chicken) overpowered the wine but I did not realize it until we sipped the wine alone. I didn’t recognize the Sauvignon Blanc characteristics until the wine warmed up, but when I did it was pleasant and subtle. Great sipping wine with a lot of potential. Although not a bargain wine it is one to buy again.
