Chilled before opening. Clear with a light greenish wheat straw color. Delicate and enticing aromas of lemon, lime, apricot, gooseberry, fresh cut moist lawn and floral that was like walking through a field of blooming daffodils in cool, crisp spring air. Smooth, lively, medium body with an 800 grit texture. Nuanced flavors of pineapple, lemon and light apricot with crisp acidity and a long smooth elegant gooseberry tasting mineral finish. WOW, very unusual for a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc…the wispy bouquet was seducing not overpowering, the easily discernible flavors were so intertwined they evoked mystique and the fresh finish elevated each sip to a new high. Although not lacking in either flavor or acidity they were in perfect harmony and made for a very GRACEFUL and DELICIOUS Sauvignon Blanc.
