He said: Opened 15-minutes before drinking. Clear, almost colorless, but with a tad of very light lemon yellow color. Honeysuckle aromas with hints of cinnamon. Without food it’s fairly heavy with lots of sweetness; but with the spicy chicken it was fruity and simply a “perfect” pairing (any sweetness was balanced with the spices in the chicken). It finished long with delicious acidity, lots of mineral and honey dew melon and citrus flavor. This was a SUPER wine paired with an Indian dinner and a OUTSTANDING value Riesling.
She said: Although I am not a fan of Rieslings I loved every taste of this one with the dinner. And, it was the dinner that made the difference. The wine has only a mild aroma but it’s flavors compliment those of the masala garum to creat a symphony on the palette. The spices of the dinner were complemented by the medium body and sweetness of the wine. After the dinner the sweetness became an issue but the flavors emerged. As delicious as the flavors were; however, the sweetness was not to my liking. I would not sip this alone but I would select it again in a flash for this dinner or any dinner with masala garum.
