He said: Chilled before drinking. Pale yellow/green color. Ripe melon and citrus aromas with hints of floral. Slightly sweet citrus and honeysuckle taste and very well balanced acidity that ends with just a touch of Granny Smith tartness. Very light, fruity and refreshing. Excellent with the dinner and OK drinking without food after the meal, but as a sipping wine for my palate it was just a bit sweet. In the end I would say two thumbs up for this Riesling. It’s an EXCELLENT off-dry Riesling that’s a VERY GOOD value.
She said: Bright light golden color. Pleasant mild citrusy aroma leads to more intense flavors and a smooth almost creamy mouth feel with enough acidity to cut any sweetness. The finish was fairly long and flavorful and led to an aftertaste that brought another dimension to the wine. It was good with the Thai chicken dinner, salad and Brussels sprouts as well as enjoyable sipping. I am not fond of Riesling cabinets because of their sweetness, but I like this one and think it was a quality wine at $17.95.
