He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, almost colorless with just a slight silver/green tint. Ripe apple and melon aromas. Smooth, stony and the slightest touch of creaminess; light fruit taste that has acidity, but can’t be described as crisp. We had it as a sipping wine and it was clearly “drinkable”, but lacked all the wonderful characteristics of good Italian Pinot Grigio. At only $8.99 it squeezes into my “Not Bad” category. However, even at that price I wouldn’t recommend it, but instead would look around for a more typical bright, crisp, flavorful and inexpensive Italian Pinto Grigio (e.g.: Bidoli Friuli Grave Pinot Grigio or Conte Priola Pinot Grigio) before buying this again.
She said: Clear, pale yellow color. The mild aroma did not bode well for the flavor but the taste was actually better than I anticipated. The mouth-feel had a medium body and pleasant acidity, the wine was smooth and had a long flavorful finish. It was a very pleasant sipping wine but lacked the crispness I expect from a Pinot Grigio. I would buy it again for $8.99 and have it for shipping or to accompany a dinner that was good with the nondescript white wine, for example Asian or one featuring a salad or bland fish.
