He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear with a very light golden color. Intense floral aromas. Fairly strong, smooth, slightly tart tropical fruit and floral taste that carries through the medium-long finish. VERY GOOD. The first sniff said Gewurztraminer, but the taste said it was different and with lots of flavors and freshness. It was perfect with the chicken and so easy drinking alone after dinner. As it warmed up it became more crisp and tart and the tropical flavors became more prevalent. A VERY NICE, easy drinking Austrian white.
She said: When I first sniffed this wine I thought it might be Gewurztraminer because it’s highly floral bouquet and taste but no, it was not. Although it’s made from a different grape this Austrian wine shares several characteristics with its German cousin. With a light body, low alcohol content and dryness it is very easy drinking and went well with the salad and chicken. As we let the wine warm up it became tastier and a slight tart citrus flavor emerged. The long floral finish was the pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow!!!
