Tasting:

He said: Chilled before opening. Clear, oat straw color. Ripe apple and fresh squeezed orange aromas. Mouth tingling taste with very ripe apple and tads of citrus fruit and honey. At mid-palate it really comes alive with complex favors, mineral and a fresh fruit character, which continued through a long, slightly dry, tart finish. WOW a FANTASTIC Chenin Blanc…and it was delicious with the multi-flavored dinner and equally good drinking alone after dinner. It was so good I’d call it OUTSTANDING Chenin Blanc!!!

She said: The disappointing aroma was made up for by the complexity of the flavors that hit the palate with the first taste. This is a wine to swirl around in the mouth for a good amount of time in order to fully appreciate all the flavors. The full body was complemented by a long tasty finish. The sweetness of the wine went well with the chicken dinner as well as the peas so it was a winner for the dinner. We can’t consider it a bargain wine at $31.50, but it sure was good.
