Chilled before drinking. Clear, oat straw color. Honey, apple, tropical fruit, citrus and rock crusher mineral aromas. Very approachable, off dry, substantial medium to full body and a 150-grit texture. Very ripe apple, lemon, peach and pineapple flavors, with a background mineral that reminds us of the taste of spray from a brisk rail-in-the water “blue water” sail. Plenty of bright acidity and a long, slightly creamy, apple finish. GREAT Chenin Blanc that was filled with flavors and a mouth-feel that was overflowing with lively and zesty sensations. Delicious with both the pesto chicken and the fresh from the garden buttered corn. We love Chenin Blanc and this one did more than just pass the “Garden Variety” test…it was GREAT Chenin Blanc. The combination of fresh acidity and rich fruit were absolutely enticing, but with the subtle background of salty mineral it became really noteworthy. FANTASTIC, REFRESHING Chenin Blanc.
