Chilled before drinking. Clear, light wheat straw color. Plentiful aromas of citrus and quince. An uninhibited, spirited and exuberant mouthfeel, medium body and lots of 80-grit texture. Tart lemon, crabapple and quince flavors set on a strong mineral background. Very nice fresh acidity and a long bitter lemon finish. WOW this was special Chardonnay…almost crunchy, unusually fresh with potent tart fruit notes all wrapped in a delicious mineral taste. This tasted so Burgundian, in a blind taste we never would have said it was California Chardonnay. The outstanding mouthfeel and distinct flavors really gave it a unique character. It paired perfectly with the seared tuna and in the end we called it a MEMORABLE Chardonnay.
