Chilled before drinking. Slightly cloudy, oat straw color and lots of sediment in the last pour. Ripe pear, peach and vanilla aromas. Smooth, plush, vibrant and slightly oily mouthfeel, solid medium body and a 400-grit texture. Undiluted flavors of pear, honeydew melon, lemon and vanilla with just a trace of pineapple. Crisp acidity and a long lively finish that had a touch of cinnamon and ended with a pert minerally. WOW, WOW, WOW FANTASTIC Chardonnay. It was superb paired with the chicken/mushroom dinner, but as Vicky commented, “sipping it without food was like an entire meal” it was so complex, well balanced and filled with layers of flavors. It’s simply “New World” INCREDIBLE!!! This was one of those wines where all the stars lined up to create a Stellar wine. It was a real treat and just about as good as California Chardonnay gets!!!
