He said: Chilled before drinking. Crystal clear, without color. Strong citrus aroma. The taste changes dramatically from the bouquet. Smooth, tart and tropical fruit taste with just hints of citrus. Than a long finish with a New Zealand Sauvigno blanc grapefruit taste. Good with the scallops but not as a sipping wine.
She said: After the Captains cocktail party (drinking terrible white whine) just before dinner, this wine had a fantastic aroma. It stimulates the palette with a grapefruit flavor typical of Sauvignon Blanc but had a mellowness provided by the Semillon. The wine went extremely well with the scallops but had a strong grapefruit flavor as the dinner progressed. By the end of the dinner it just tasted like strong New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
