Tasting:
-
Chilled before opening. Clear wheat straw color. Pungent gooseberry aroma with secondary citrus and sweet herbs. Very tart, slightly creamy, medium to full body and 150-grit texture. Strong gooseberry and citrus flavors that include tropical fruit after mid-palate; crisp acidity and a long pungent flavored finish. Fresh and lively with robust flavors that easily identify its Australian origin. Good with the dinner, but the sharp-edged finish detracted from its fresh character. A good value Australian Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon blend.
