He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear (although there was a slight element of cloudiness in the last pour), oat straw color. Diverse floral, green apple, barn yard, smoky meat and crushed stone aromas. A velvety, creamy, yet slightly crisp mouth-feel; with layers of dry sumptuous peach and honey flavors that just go on and on. WOW, a complex California white wine that’s really OUTSTANDING!!! It simply has it all…FANTASTIC bouquet, a range of smooth and delicious flavors, bright acidity and a long licorice finish. A MEMORABLE white blend…and a very challenging wine to blind taste in a black glass!!!
She said: Clear, golden yellow color with a touch of cloudiness on the last pour. I knew from the first sniff that this was a winner. The powerful aroma was a beautiful prelude to the rich flavorful mouth-feel that was silky smooth and ended with a long finish that had hints of smokiness. This is a wine with many layers of complexity to delight the palate…it’s a very special wine. The crisp acidity rich texture created a great pairing with the salad and enhance the flavor of the rest of the dinner. Not inexpensive, but it’s a very good buy at $40 and I would recommend it and buy it again.
