Chilled before drinking. Very cloudy, apple cider like color. Light citrus and faint rose aromas. Smooth, tart and very slightly glutinous mouthfeel, light to medium body and a 200-grit texture. Lots of limey mineral along with lemon, orange and tart Granny Smith apple flavors. Rather soft acidity and a long briny California grapefruit tasting finish. Very unusual wine and nothing like the orange wine taste we expected. The strong tartness made up for the mild acidity. This was a real sleeper, like the other Poderi Cellario E Vino Bianco it was mellow, but the orange has a zippy character with the bitter flavors. We called this wine noteworthy and a very versatile food pairing potential. We really liked it and gave it a 4-thumbs up rating.
