He said: Chilled before drinking. Crystal clear, wheat straw color with a tad of green. Very light gooseberry aroma with hints of earth. Smooth, gooseberry and citrus taste with a long crisp, very slightly tart finish. Light, refreshing and delicious sipping alone, but if there was more aroma in the bouquet I would say it was outstanding. Excellent paired with the swiss cheese burger or it could be a NICE lunch time wine with just about any food. An excellent Australian sauvignon blanc/semillon blend.
She said: Clear, with well spaced fat lethargic legs. Very mild aroma and equally light flavors. If there was an aroma or flavor it could be gooseberry and as time went on the flavor developed in that direction. Nice feel on the palate with pleasant weight, great smoothness and enough acidity to give a sense of lushness. The lentils were too strongly spiced for the wine, but the mussels were strongly flavored on their own not counting the curry sauce and were delicious with the wine. I liked the wine best sipping after the lunch. Its smoothness and pleasant feel on the palate were enough to make it a delightful experience.
