He said: Clear, sparkling, light copper (mix of orange and pink) color. Mild, freshly cleaned leather and over ripe apple aromas with hints of sweetness. Strong, very ripe Kieffer pear flavors that continue through a lingering dry finish. This unique Orange wine was chewy, palate clearing and bone dry. At $30 it may not be described as a bargain but it was OUTSTANDING with the chicken and peanut sauce (we tried four other wines with this peanut sauce and this wine was by far the best pairing). This is clearly a special wine that needs a good pairing…and when it’s right it’s a memorable wine.
She said: If you have never had an orange wine you are in for a shock and a treat. With increased contact with skins and later oxidizing the wine takes on a noticeable orange color as well as interesting aromas and flavors. This particular orange wine had abundant aroma that is floral at first but then evolved into wet leather. A delicious taste with a light body, medium acidity and noticeable tannins that passes into the long finish. This is an excellent wine that was delicious with the chicken and peanut sauce. Orange wines are not cheap but if you want to have a unique wine experience this is a good one to choose.
