Tasting:

He said: Chilled before opening. Crystal clear, very light oat straw color with a green tinge. Strong ripe seckel pear aroma. Smooth, fresh, creamy, ripe pear and hints of citrus taste. But the wine really comes alive in the finish…intense, slightly tart, full of complex flavors and quite long. PERFECT with the lemon and garlic flavors of the chicken. This is a real winner with the food and I can think of seafood that would be equally good. This wine was a VERY SPECIAL TREAT, and it gets a two thumbs up recommendation from me.

She said: The name was a turn off, the label a teaser and the Central Valley appellation questionable, but the wine was GREAT. I have to wonder about the wine maker…this wasn’t anything like California wine! In spite of the California pedigree this wine was creamy, flavorful and medium bodied with a deliciously long finish. It was divine with the chicken and rice and did well with the salad and was also very delicious with orange milk chocolate after the dinner. At $17 I would buy it again as I have never had a better pairing with Greek chicken. A wonderful white wine from California.

Comments: Broc Cellars say their wines are natural organically produced and vinified…with no inoculated yeast or bacteria or any powdered tannins/enzymes and the Love White was unfined and filtered. Total production of the 2013 Love White was only 320 cases…This is not your ordinary California Wine!!!
