He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, pale wheat straw color with just a tint of green. Very aromatic floral with ripe melon and tropical fruit aromas. Fresh and crisp, medium body; intense citrus and melon taste till about mid-palate then there was a dramatic shift to tartness that continued all the way through the long zippy, mineral and apple flavored finish. WOW, FANTASTIC Albariño!!! Smooth, easy drinking, loaded with rich fruit flavors and refreshing crisp acidity. Two thumbs up from me…an OUTSTANDING Spanish white wine.
She said: Clear, light greenish-yellow color. Light floral aroma with hints of ripe melon that’s complemented by a surge of similar taste in the mouth with multiple flavors rippling over the palate. The mouth feel was full-body and dry with a touch of fruitiness, yet crisp. This wine is difficult to describe because it is multifaceted which makes it all the more interesting and delicious. It was just an okay pairing…I’d love it with mussels, but fabulous sipping alone and I would buy it again at $20.60. It is a very good value!
