Chilled before opening. Clear, salmon color with an orange tint. Stout green apple and a lesser amount of raspberry and sweet potpourri aromas. A tad rustic, dry, TART mouthfeel, light/medium body and a 200-grit texture. Virile raspberry and plum flavors with apple, orange and clove in the background. Lots and lots of crisp mouth watering acidity and a long very tart finish that was filled with dry tastes of raspberry and cherry. OUTSTANDING paired with the turkey soup. We sip a substantial amount of Rosé from Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon during the warm summer months and this Candyfloss Rosé was a very different wine. It doesn’t have the strong Grenache aroma or taste, but instead has characteristics that make it both easy drinking and a wine that (as Lou Kahn use to tell us) “wants to be” paired with food. We called it a unique and substantial Rosé.
