Chilled before opening. Clear, dark salmon color. Lots of strong red cherry, red current and fresh cooked rhubarb aromas with occasional whiffs of roses. A savory and dusty mouthfeel, medium body and a courser than usual Rosé 150-grit texture. Powerful tart cherry, current, citrus and pomegranate flavors. Refreshing crisp acidity and a long tart fruit finish that had a noticeable tannic uplift at the end. GREAT Rosé, but we had a lengthy discussion about the pairing. In the end we both agreed it was not the best wine for the delicious, yet heavy chicken Marsala. With the rich and thick Marsala sauce it would be a much improved pairing with a Rhone red. However, this Nebbiolo was a STELLAR value Rosé wine. The exhilarating fruit flavors and fresh acidity made for a very nice invigorating Rosé. Nebbiolo grapes make FANTASTIC Rosé. It’s a super value and it gets four thumbs up too!!!
