Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, pale salmon color. Damp earth, musty cantaloupe and sweet spice aromas. Smooth and just a tad creamy mouthfeel, medium body and a 100 grit texture. Not quite ripe cherry, tart cranberry and cinnamon flavors with a hard rock mineral mixed in. Lots of bright acidity and a long peppery spice and cherry finish. Nice zesty and fresh Rose. Great combination of tastes that can’t be found in garden variety French Rose. It was crisp, refreshing and had a gingery bitterness. We found this an excellent pairing with the chicken, but it could be a fantastic casual anytime sipper. We really liked this wine and called it a swashbucklin southern Italian Rose.
