He said: Opened one-hour before drinking. Very dark purple-garnet color with a lighter rim. Rich ripe cherry and dark cave aromas. Smooth, full body, PEPPERY, dry, with lots of fruit taste. A VERY dry fruit finish that goes on forever. An OUTSTANDING, delicious red wine with just enough tannins and fruit flavor to make the wine special. A FANTASTIC red wine from Austria…viva Carnuntum!!!
She said: Very dark purple-red color, opaque, and with legs moving with great determination. A superb wine! It starts with a deep musky aroma that turns into a fruity full bodied flavor on the palate. It is dry, smooth, and almost chewy, so a tiny sip goes a long way. The best is saved for last because the finish is long and combines the beauty of the soft tannins with the multiple flavors that seem to develop in the mouth. A great wine with the dinner but also fabulous alone. It was a gift but I look forward to another bottle.
