Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, light garnet color with the same color rim. Musty ripe dark fruit aromas. Smooth entry with a lively, scrumptious and spicy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a 250-grit texture. Tart plum, blackberry, current and juicy ripe strawberry flavors with strong peppery and sage spicy core. Middle-of-the-road acidity, fine grained, but grippy tannins and a long rich and bitter finish. WOW this Zinfandel begins slowly with a lite musty dark bouquet, but about mid-palate it just explodes with rich tastes and lively tannins. OUTSTANDING paired with the pork BBQ and enthralling sipping without food. This had FANTASTIC body, SUPER lush fruity taste and a finish to die for!!! These lighter Turley Zinfandels are our cup of tea. We called it a noteworthy Zinfandel that’s an excellent value.
