Tasting:
He said: Ruby red color. Medium blackberry bouquet. Strong dry berry taste that finshes with a medium length. It’s robust, has lots of berry flavor, very dry, but a hint of sweetness. I like it better than the 2010 Amador County Zinfandel and it’s about $2.00 less; but I think we can do better for this cost.
She said: Dark garnet color. Strong dark berry aroma and flavor that dies off quickly. Dry, full body, slightly acidic with firm tannins. Better with cheese than salad. Chocolate did not improve it. Starts off better than it finishes. At $8.99 it’s just an okay buy.
