He said: Opaque dark red color. Blackberry, black cherry, ripe current and forest floor aromas. Quite smooth, vibrant flavorful taste that continues into a dry, nice acid finish. Robust, full of flavor, nice balance and easy drinking…a good Zinfandel. At $16 it may not be a bargain, but it’s a good buy. And, it was OUTSTANDING with the corn bread after the meal!!!
She said: Our dinner was ordinary by anyone’s standards and we sought the advise of our favorite wine merchant who recommended a Zinfandel. We happened to have this one and served it up. Amazing!!! It was delicious with the dinner. Although I have to admit that I enjoyed it even more after the heat of the chili died down. the main feature was the luscious dark berry introduced by a similar but milder bouquet. the body is medium and the tannins are moderate but the fabulous flavor carries through the medium long finish. there are better Zinfandel wines available, but I was very happy with this one at $16.
