Tasting:

He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Clear, brownish red color with a light rim. Enticing fruit and forest floor aromas with just the slightest hint of rose petals. Silky mouth-feel with a medium body and a VERY mouth-filling plum, current and black cherry taste with lots of nuances. Then a very long finish that’s dry, with smooth tannins, mineral, spiciness and slightly fruity aftertaste. This is a WOW (in “bold caps”) Rioja Reserva. I bought this because the store recommended it highly, and it turned out to be a real gem. Right in line with prices for Rioja Reserva and simply an OUTSTANDING wine that gets two thumbs up from me. SUPER Rioja Reserva that’s a good value.

She said: Very dark ruby red with a touch of brown on the edge, opaque, lots of thin well spaced rapidly moving legs. Heavenly fruity aroma with floral hints gives way to a huge mouthful of complex fruity flavors. The mouth-feel was dry, smooth, and had just enough tannins to enhance the flavors. The long finish holds onto the tannins and flavors for a memorable experience. This wine was fabulous with the barbecue chicken which I heaped with cabbage salad. Absolutely yum! I would jump at the chance to drink this wine again at $30.
