He said: Opened and decanted for one hour (as specified on the back label). Opaque, inky dark purple color with a dark red rim. Rich cherry, tobacco and gobs of wet leather aromas. Medium body, lots of luscious fruit, bright acidity, silky tannins and a creeping tartness that is simply out of this world. This is so flavorful and well balanced. Outstanding with the grilled chicken, but a red wine you could sip by itself all night!!! The flavors were so intense, the mouth-puckering dryness so delicious and the whole package so scrumptious and suave it was a MEMORABLE red Duero. An OUTSTANDING Spanish Duero that was a real treat!!!
She said: Dark ruby red with a bright cherry color rim. Another winner from wine consultant Tim Coles at the Woodland Hills wine company! Although the Woodland Hills Wine Company description of the wine doesn’t include a wet leather scent, I did along with wonderful ripe fruit. The multiple flavors that pass over the palate make the wine more interesting and enticing, while being enhanced by a dry, smooth mouth-feel and just enough acidity to go with the salad that was dressed with olive oil and lemon juice. The finish was long and continued the strong flavors and the soft tannins. The label suggested decanting the wine, but immediately after opening our taste was smooth and flavorful, but it did improve with decanting and was a very delicious wine at $28.95.
