Tasting:
-
Opened one hour before drinking. Opaque, inky dark purple color with a light purple rim. Wisps of plums, prunes and damp wood. Smooth entrance, accessible, dense full-body and an 80-grit texture. Explosive current and blackberry flavors; plentiful of fresh acidity, awash with grippy tannins and a long peppery finish that ends with a spicy clove taste. POWERFUL, burly wine from start to finish. Good pairing with the beef and delicious drinking without food after the dinner. EXCELLENT Spanish red we really enjoyed.
