Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, ruby color with a purple tint and a lighter purple rim. Robust wet wood, blackberry, black cherry and wet gravel aromas with hints of rosemary. Smooth, very dusty and exciting mouthfeel, medium to full body and a 150-grit texture. Bitter flavors of cherry, strawberry, fig and bay leaf flavors. Well blended edgy acidity, soft tannins and a very long bitter fruit finish. We liked this on the first pour, but it softened and the flavors became more integrated and each pour became more delicious. In addition the strong bitterness became softer and became a real positive with each pour. Now What to drink with what you eat recommend Tempranillo with the pepper soup. We wouldn’t have chosen it, but it was a spectacular pairing!!! We called this EXCELLENT well balanced Tempranillo.
