He said: Very dark red color. Delicious berry bouquet. Strong dry, ripe berry and earthy taste that continues into a long very dry leathery finish. This is thick and chewy delicious. It’s GREAT. The bouquet was less than the 2005, but it’s still an outstanding Syrah. It’s perfect wine for the lamb/veal kabobs served at the Itzik Hagadol Grill. And, even at $45 it’s an outstanding buy.
She said: We returned to this restaurant to taste this Syrah again because it was so good on our last visit. Sorry to say, they did not have the same vintage so we had the 2009. We were not disappointed. Very dark garnet color; fragrant aroma followed by equally flavorful taste. Dry firm tannins, well balanced with medium long delicious finish. It has unbelievable legs. Every taste was a delight and I considered each sip a treasure. This was a wine that I could leisurely savor an wanted to spend a whole evening with.
