He said: Opened 15-minutes before drinking. Clear, light ruby red color with brown tints. Quite strong aroma of damp earth, leather and ripe cherry. Delicious tart red cherry, current and cranberry taste and a long dusty dry mineral finish. Great bouquet, UNUSUALLY CLEAR distinct flavors, a silky smooth VERY easy drinking taste and low alcohol. It was great with dinner, but even better drinking without food. This was one of those wines that are sleepers…the first taste was good, but each successive taste just got better and better. With Asiago cheese it was heavenly!!! VERY nice Corsican red wine.
She said: Bright clear ruby red color with lots of thin speedy legs. The aroma was earthy and led to flavors of red current with more than a hint of tartness. The body was thin, the tannins soft, and the finish dry but otherwise undistinguished. It went reasonably well with the dinner and was OK as a sipping wine. The bottle identifies the wine only as “red wine” and for me it was disappointing because of its lack of body. It’s strength lies in its earthy aroma and smoothness. This is not my kind of red wine but if you like Beaujolais you will probably love it.
