Tasting:

He said: Opened 45-minutes before drinking. Clear, garnet color with the same color rim. Light fruity aroma with hints of alcohol on every pour. Soft with Medium-body and cherry tastes that finishes quite acidic, slightly tart and medium-length. Well it’s not your traditional Chianti Classico. The label said “93% Sangiovese and 7% Merlot” but it taste like they had it reversed. We have had better Chianti Classico at less cost so I don’t recommend it. At best it’s just OK Chianti.

She said: Dark garnet red with a brownish rim and moderately moving fairly evenly spaced thin legs. The aroma has a distinct alcohol smell with a very mild
underlying fruity scent. The flavor is more fruity and the mouth feel less dry than I expect from Chianti Classico, but the body is medium and the acidity more prominent than the tannins. The finish was long and continued the contest between the tannins and acidity without a lot of flavor. A decent wine with the dinner, but we have had better Chianti at this price point.
