Opened 90-minutes before drinking. Clear, pale brownish ruby color with a lighter rim. Light, but intriguing cherry, tea, tar and musky rose aromas (with alcohol on the first pour). Smooth and slightly rustic mouthfeel, light body and an 80- grit texture. Cherry, pomegranate, and orange peel flavors. Gobs of bright acidity, fined grained, but grippy tannins and a medium length fresh finish that starts with a dash of black pepper, but quickly develops the grippy tannins. Excellent with the food and excellent sipping without food after the dinner. We called it a FANTASTIC value Italian red we would recommend in a heartbeat!!!
