He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Crystal clear dark garnet color. Strong damp earth and ripe cherry aromas. Strong initial ripe raspberry and cherry taste that from mid-palate through the long finish is a tart (slightly bitter) dry dark fruit taste. VERY soft tannins, very dry and VERY delicious, both with the grilled chicken and alone. An inexpensive MEMORABLE Italian red; it was DELICIOUS and at $13.50 a Quality wine at a Bargain price…in spades!!!
She said: The dark garnet color delighted the eye while the dryness and taste was delightful to the palate. With medium-heavy body and pleasant tannins that lasted into the medium long finish it was delicious with grilled chicken and peas but had to be separated from the sweet potatoes. A taste of chocolate at the end of dinner was complemented by the wine. At $13.50 it is a bargain wine that can be enjoyed with food as well as alone.
