Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, purple color with a lighter rim. Intense cherry, raspberry and damp earth aromas. Than get ready…an explosive taste that’s light to medium bodied, velvety mouth-feel and brimming with VIBRANT cherry, raspberry and red current flavors. A long electrifying finish that was loaded with dry fruit, fine-grained tannins, abundant mineral and a chewy mouth-puckering exuberance. And if that wasn’t enough, it goes on to a long, dry, tart crescendo in the aftertaste. WOW, WOW, WOW what a wine. It’s so delicate, rich and flavorful, yet so eminent. Captivating paired with the slightly salty ham, super with the nutmeg in the butternut squash ravioli and a treat drinking without food after the dinner. Multi-layered flavors that improved with each taste and a rich tartness in the finish that was a PERFECT ending to every sip. It was an outstanding dinner because the wine was so MEMORABLE!!!
