Tasting:
-
Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, pale ruby color with a lighter rim. Exciting aromas of cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, mushrooms and damp earth with occasional whiffs of lightly fragrant roses. Velvety smooth with a chalky mouthfeel, medium body and a 200-grit texture. Saturated flavors of cranberry, cherry and licorice. Edgy acidity, substantial fine grained tannins that dominate a long cherry tasting finish. Very elegant Pinot Noir that was light on its feet and filled with a myriad of flavors. This was a Pinot Noir that had noteworthy delicious tannins and an impeccable combination of fresh tasting fruit. We called it refined and understated Pinot Noir and we loved every drop!!!
