Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, ruby color with a slightly lighter rim. Delicate aroma of damp earth, cherry and red berries. Silky smooth, light but almost medium body and a 2000 grit texture. Juicy and ripe cherry and cranberry flavors, and a noteworthy finish that was full of flourishing tart fruit, abundant tangy acidity, round-edged, but plentiful dry tannins and just a touch of stony mineral at the very end. WOW, there is nothing like Pinot Noir from Burgundy. Subtle, yet exciting with balanced and silky taste that goes on forever. This was DELICIOUS red Burgundy at a FANTASTIC BARGAIN price. BY the way did I mention this was another Matt Bayless wine selection…that was a “best buy in the store wine”?
