He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color with a slightly lighter rim. Quite strong barnyard and plum aromas. Soft, delicate, slightly acidic, light body; lots if cherry flavors, very dry and a slightly spicy finish that carries lots of fruit. Rather than talk about what it wasn’t I’ll dwell on what it was…this was a serious Pinot Noir, there was actually LOTS of flavor, body and acidity. Good pairing with the salmon flavors in the dinner. At only $16.20 it was a GOOD red Burgundy at a bargain price!!!
She said: Not quite opaque, ruby red color, fat regularly spaced, slowly moving legs. With a straight forward fruity aroma and taste, the wine was dry and medium bodied. It offered a pleasant acidity, soft tannins and long finish that featured supple flavors. A solid pinot noir at a good price that went well with the salmon cakes and roasted potatoes as well as sipping alone.
