He said: (First pairing) Dark ruby color. Very nice ripe fruity bouquet. Rich plum taste that continues into a long finish. This is a smooth as silk Pinot that finishes with a wonderful dry earthy taste. It’s about as good as Pinot Noir gets!!! Complex and sumptuous. It was good tasting at the vineyard, but OUTSTANDING with the salmon. And, it’s a bargain price for a very outstanding Pinto Noir. (Second pairing) Wonderful bouquet. Strong ripe plum taste that stays through the finish. Outstanding balance. If you count anticipation this was even better than the first bottle!!!
She said: (First Pairing) Dark red. Ripe fruity aroma leading to a flavorful, medium bodied taste, ending with a smooth silky finish. Exceptionally nice wine and a quality that is worth more than the price. (Second pairing) You don’t need to taste this wine to enjoy it. Just smell the fragrance of the bouquet and you’ll love it. Dry, medium body with soft tannins and medium long finish. Delicious!
Comments: This Pinot Noir probably can not be purchased in wine stores; however it is available directly from the vineyard (http://www.lafondwinery.com/) with very inexpensive shipping costs.
