Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, ruby color with a lighter brownish rim. Unique aromas of cherry, cinnamon and smoke with hints of rose floral. Silky smooth, bitter and enticing mouthfeel, medium body and a 400-grit texture. Cherry, raspberry and spicy cinnamon & clove intertwined flavors. Bright acidity, fine grained tannins with a fruity and growing tannic finish. WOW this was a very special California Pinot Noir. A balanced mixture of tastes and mouthfeel that were absolutely unique and the persistent sweet spice really was a hook that was captivating. We called it expressive and refined Pinot Noir with elegantly complex flavors…and the wine was way beyond our humble pizza dinner!!!
