He said: Opened 10-minutes before drinking. Clear, dark ruby and light purple color with a lighter rim. Damp wood and red fruit aromas. Medium body, smooth as silk and a dry dusty mouth-feel; strong cherry, raspberry and blackberry taste that becomes slightly tart and peppery over the long finish. WOW, an under $10 wine from Sicily that is this noteworthy only comes along once in a while. Rich bouquet, lots of fruit flavor and balanced acidity, soft tannins and oh so easy drinking…and such a value…it’s simply SPECTACULAR!!! This is a special wine that’s worth spending some time and energy finding…it’s truly a QUALITY wine at a BARGAIN price.
She said: Dark ruby color, opaque, irregular thin, well moving legs. The aroma and flavors are fruity and pleasant while the body was surprisingly light for my taste. The tannins were subtle and the finish long, dry and tasty with the luscious tannins. It was delicious with the cheese and I would buy it again in a flash, and consider it a great bargain wine at under $10.
Comments: On January 3, 2017 we had the 2014 and it was just as good but now cost $10.80.
