Tasting:

Opened one and a half hour before drinking. Clear, purple/garnet color with the same color rim. Dominant cherry and lesser amounts of plum, raspberry and garden variety lilac blossom (Syringa vulgaris) aromas. Very supple, fresh, rich, smooth, medium-light body and a 200-grit texture. Dry tart fruit flavors with lots of dusty licorice and spice in the taste, fresh acidity, plenty of supple tannins and a spicy clove and peppery finish. WOW this brings back memories of Italian red wines we bought in Tuscany to have with a pasta dinners…MEMORABLE!!! Now how do you top that??? Well if you live in the Los Angeles area, run don’t walk, to the Woodland Hills Wine Company on Ventura Blvd. and buy as many bottles as you can carry. This is a very appealing wine and an ALL TIME BARGAIN. Also, if you open it two hours before drinking it will taste like a $40 Italian Wine!!! It’s the perfect Italian house red.
