Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark purple-garnet color with the same color rim. Strong plum and Boysenberry with just a whiff of prune aromas. Smooth, a tad rustic, dry and slightly spicy mouthfeel, 150-grit texture and a medium body. Boysenberry, sour cherry and oregano flavors. Bright acidity, plentiful medium grained tannins and a wonderful slightly bitter fruit and mineral finish. GREAT Montepulciano at a FANTASTIC price. It really shined with the dried tomatoes on the pizza, but was a delightful sipping wine after the dinner. This gets 4-thumbs up, lots of raves and a Quality wine at a Bargain price rating from us. It’s a FANTASTIC “everyday” dry Italian wine that is food friendly and delicious…What more can you ask from a $12 bottle of wine!!!
