He said: Opened 15-minutes before drinking. Opaque, dark purple with the same color rim. Abundant plum, cherry, licorice and earthy aromas. Smooth, juicy, but dry acidic and a substantive medium-body; rich ripe cherry, dusty mineral and tobacco flavors that end in a very dry finish with gentle structured tannins and slightly bitter ending. Great with the pork dinner, very nice Italian red drinking alone after the meal. At only $14.40 it’s a steal-of-a-deal!!! A true Quality wine at a Bargain price.
She said: Opaque, dark purple color, lots of evenly spaced, thin steadily moving legs. This is a wine that needs to be opened an hour or two before drinking. The aroma was mild and uninteresting at first, but blossomed with juicy fruit scents as we sipped. The juiciness carried over into the mouth and was joined by a medium to full-body, firm tannins and a smooth dry mouth-feel. The finish was long and featured the very delicious tannins. An excellent accompaniment to the pork, but it would pair very well with any food that had substance, e.g. fat. It was a bargain wine at only $14.40, and look for the bonus in the bottom of your glass on the last pour!
