He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Clear ruby red color with a light rim. Very light plum and ripe blackberry aromas with spicy hints. Strong (very slightly sweet) plum and woody taste with a medium-long finish that has a good mouth-feel, depth and a slight bitter ending. There is also a long fruity after-taste that is pleasant and invites another taste. From the first taste to the last this was easy drinking and “not bad” Merlot. It’s not multi-layered, but at under $10 it’s a great everyday Merlot that’s a fantastic value.
She said: Ruby red, translucent, thin steadily moving legs. The aroma was mild with hints of smokiness and a tad of sweetness. The mouth was full of ripe red berries with accompanying sweetness, and the finish was long. At first the finish ended badly and an after taste resulted but as the wine breathed that ending disappeared. The wine was delicious with the bread and cheese as well as sipping after the snack.. I would buy this wine again and consider it a bargain wine at $10.
