He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Clear, ruby red color. Raspberry and wet wood aroma. Slightly tart cherry and raspberry flavors, dry, soft tannins and a long fruity finish. The distributor says this was “hand-harvested, 100% destemmed and crushed in a soft pneumatic press, short cool maceration then fermented with native yeasts in temperature controlled-stainless steel tanks”…and the results are GREAT!!! At only $11.70 we’re back in North Carolina with quality wine at a bargain price from the Caviste Wine Shop. Nice, light body, exploding with fruit and a fantastic week-night Italian red. It was good with food and good drinking alone…what more can you ask? A delicious Merlot that’s a SUPER value Italian wine.
She said: Ruby red color, slightly opaque, many thin speedy legs. The first word that comes to mind with the first taste is zippy. With a fruity aroma, the wine delivers a full flavored taste with a bit of zing. The mouth feel was dry with considerable tannins that give a substantial feel to the body. The finish was long and flavorful adding to the overall value of this bargain wine, At only $11.70 it’s a Quality wine at a Bargain price.
