He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Dark purple/red color. Almost zero aroma…maybe hints of fruit. Smooth plum and current taste with a slight tartness. The finish was medium-length, full of fruit grown in California sunshine and slightly bitter at the end. It was pretty good with the dinner, but the more I drank it the less I liked it. Even with the 30% off price it was just “Not Bad” at best and I wouldn’t recommend it even at the price we paid for it.
She said: Dark red color, opaque, lots of thin slow moving legs. The wine was the highlight of our dinner and the pairing that was based on practical considerations concerning the construction going on in our house. Although the wine had a very light aroma if any, it had a solid mouth feel. The taste was fruity, the body medium, and the finish long and tasty. Light on tannins and a bit on the sweet side, the wine was delicious with the dinner but was less so sipping after dinner. An OK Merlot, but I would try others in this price range before buying it again.
